Purple Valentine's Day Look

Snap! It's going to be Valentine's day in less than two weeks! Time flies when you don't pay attention! I'm sure around this time of the year we are all preparing for the special day with that special someone. Whether it be just looking for a cute makeup look, an outfit idea, or even a gift inspiration, we are all out on the hunt to make that special day... special. In the past years I've always gravitated towards pink eye looks for Valentine's day to match the overall theme of the world when this time of the year comes around. But this year, I wanted to do something a bit different. Using a color I normally would not think of, at least not frequently at all. This purple look is a soft smokey eye with tons of flirty lashes for a dolly and big-eyed effect. Purple is a vibrant color but it is still rather neutral enough to be used for eyes of all color.
Lenses worn in this look are the T. Top 2 tone violets. They are very comfortable and although purple in color, they are very, very subtle with great ability to enlarge. These lenses can be purchased from Kpop2.

Bigger, Sexier Eyes: 3 Current Favorite Circlelenses

It's been quite some time since I've blogged about anything, but this is definitely a blog worthy day! Today I bring you three of my current favorite lenses! Now, if you are new to circle lenses, they are colored cosmetic lenses that have color-changing as well as enlarging effects. They come in all shape and form in terms of pattern and color, and some are quite a bit larger than others. Depending on your personal taste, you are bound to find a pair that's perfect to your likings. I haven't been wearing lenses for awhile primarily due to laziness. But I've been trying out some new colors lately and I've been loving them. The first lens I bring to your attention is the G&G natural 3 tone gray lenses. They are sort of the miniature version of the Dueba Puffy 3 Tone Grays. Identical in pattern and color except the diameter is much smaller. These lenses still tend to look rather large in my eye due to their opaque color payoff as well as a darker limbo ring. You can refer to the picture.

Color payoff is amazing as you can see here. The lens has a bluish tint in real life and definitely leans more blue than gray. As far as comfort goes, they are not the most comfortable lenses. They'll start drying relatively quickly within five hours I'd say. I got these lenses from www.pinkyparadise.com

The next lenses that I love wearing for some what of a sexier look are the LensMe Chick 3 Tone Browns.

These lenses are very similar to the geo tri tone browns except they're a bit larger, and somewhat more vibrant. I really have no complaints in terms of color and enlargement. The only thing is though, these lenses have a base curve of 8.4mm compared to the usual 8.6mm of most lenses. They tend to shift in my eyes in the initial few minutes after putting them on but as my eyes adjust and dry a bit they stay in place just fine. Of course, I would never wear these for an extended period of time nor would I wear them every day. (only for special occasions)

Lastly, these are the third pair of lenses that I've been enjoying quite a bit. They are the NeoVision Monet Browns. These have got to be one of the most comfortable lenses I've ever worn and they are super natural. The enlarging effects are minimal but they definitely add a bit more sparkle to the eye. I like wearing them for an every day look since they're not dramatic at all. And I really have to mention again, they are SOOO COMFEY! Their comfort triumphs anything else and just for that I'd go for them more often than my other lenses. You can also find these lenses are www.kpop2.com

Lens Review: GEO Plum WT-C23 Green Circle Lens 15mm/Coco Eye Green

Today I have another circle lens review for you guys.

These lenses are very BIG let me tell ya.

They are 15mm which definitely isn't the biggest circle lenses can go nowadays but these are up there to par.

These almost remind me of the geo angel greens but bigger and the pattern is a bit different.

The green isn't as dark as the geo angel greens which I quite like. It's a medium green that is very noticeable.

If you want to go for the dolly eyed look, this is a perfect candidate for you. It enlarges, the color payoff is very nice, and the pattern is unique.

However, if you want to go for a look that is less noticeable and more everyday look this may not be the one for you.

I wore it for five hours with most of the hours feeling comfortable. Towards the end my eyes felt a bit strained because my eyes don't take large lenses well, not just this lens.

I'd say if you have bigger eyes than me you will have no problem wearing them for a long time.

They definitely make you look more awake and alert without much effort.

Overall I like these lenses on the days I want to achieve a big eyed look :)

MY REVIEW:

These lenses were purchased by me from www.lensvillage.com.
They were around $20 plus shipping is extra. They recently lowered their shipping price I think by a couple of dollars. I had a little of a problem with another pair of lenses that they sent me, but customer service was very quick and kind and they helped me resolve my problem fairly quickly. My only complaint is that they are based in Malaysia so it took awhile for my lenses to get here, but honestly I don't think it's their fault because where I live really is my choice and I can't blame them for being based oversesa.

These lenses are super pretty with make up on. Without make up is another story. At least for the nature of my eye. If i wear these lenses without make up I look like a weird-eyed alien girl. Not too pleasant. With makeup, they make my look exotic! Beacuse of its 14.5mm diameter, they can really make your eyes appear larger and brighter with a hint of mystery (maybe that's also due to the smokey eye?).
They are very comfortable, I've worn them for maybe five hours so far and they have not gotten tiring yet. I would prefer if this was smaller in diameter just so that I could wear it more on a regular basis and not the occasional glamorous made up looks. The design of it is superb! the three colors blend in perfectly and look amazing in pictures with or without flash. The color isn't really grey in my opinion, it's more of a turquoise grey with a hint of green and blue. weird right? Nevertheless it's still a really beautiful lens when you go out clubing or to a party. This will definitely catch people's eyes.
